Science-First Skin Care

Peptides are the foundation for many of our science-backed skincare products. Before "peptides" was a buzzword in the industry, ALASTIN Skincare® developed our patented TriHex Technology®.

TriHex Technology includes Tripeptide-1 and Hexapeptide-12 that support the REMOVAL of aged collagen and elastin to help jump-start the skin's natural rejuvenation process. Collagen and elastin break down and clump together due to photodamage and aging, which can slow down the production of new, healthy collagen and elastin in the deepdermal structure of the skin.

TriHex Technology helps the skin REBUILD healthy collagen and elastin to support visible changes at the surface level. TriHex Technology helps restore the optimal skin environment and create room for new, healthy collagen and elastin by removing the damaged fragments.

With daily use, TriHex Technology helps to REPLENISH new, healthy collagen and elastin and to clear the damaged fragments to maintain healthy skin from the inside out on an ongoing basis.

Chief Scientific Officer Galderma, Head Skin Science Center for Innovation, Head Alastin Innovations

Professor Widgerow spent 20 years in private plastic surgical practice in South Africa before relocating to southern California in 2009 to pursue his interests in research, medical device innovations, and wound care. In 2012, he joined the University of California Irvine Plastic Surgery Division as Adjunct Professor and Director of the Center for Tissue Engineering.

John Garruto

Mr. Garruto was the founding formulation scientist and former Vice President of Formulation Development at SkinMedica®, Inc. Developer of SkinMedica’s® successful TNS line, Mr. Garruto has 38 years of experience as a formulating chemist and technical consultant to the personal care industry.
